The Z-series, which includes two models - Z460 and Z560, has features like chiclet keyboard, Dolby Advanced Audio for vibrant and engaging sound, Onekey Theatre for enhanced movie experience, HDMi and E-Sata port, that connects host bus adapters to mass storage devices such as hard disk drives and optical drives and Lenovo Veriface face recognition, that lets the user use his face as the password. The Z460 and the Z560 are available in 14" and 15.6" display respectively.
The features showcased by the Y-series, which has Y460 and Y560, are large 23" full HD wide display, JBL speakers and dedicated graphics, enhanced Wi-fi, 4-in-1 remote control for multiple operations and Lenovo OneKey rescue system, which is a special botton which able to recover the system and data. Similarly to the Z-series notebooks, the Y460 and Y560 are also available in 14" and 15.6" display respectively.
In addition to the Lenovo IdeaPad Z and Y series notebooks, the company has also showcased other products that include Netbooks and All-in-One and Desktop categories. These products include Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s 'Moon' and 'Wind', Lenovo H320, All-in-One PCs - Lenovo IdeaCenter A300, Lenovo IdeaCenter B500, Lenovo IdeaCenter B300 and Lenovo C200. The company has introduced a range of reliable and robust desktops, notebooks for the SMB sector - ThinkPad Edge in 14" and 15" display, Lenovo B460 and Lenovo V460.
Speaking about the company's focus on the consumer segment, Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India said that since the launch of the company's consumer brand four years ago, Lenovo has made significant pogress in the Indian market. Within the emerging markets, India is the biggest market for the company outside China. While China is a very mature market for Lenovo, India is an important emerging market for the company, he added.
According to Alex Li, Vice President, Home and SMB, Lenovo India, since customers are ready to pay for the additional values, the company also wants to provide the same incorporating exciting features.
On the company's market share, Babu said that currently Lenovo has the market share of 7.2 percent and the company aims to gain a double digit market share in the near future.
